The Liberator of Iraq Welcomed

Strange it seems that some people are never grateful. Just look at this video in which President Bush is assaulted by an Iraqi trying to hit him with his 2 shoes during a news conference. At first this simpleton President smiles and acts as if it is some sort of game. Then the smile turns to a look of concern as he ducks twice from the assault. Fortunately our fearless leader wasn't hurt.

But it does make me wonder why the anger from this Iraqi? Could it be the years of war that left over a million of his countrymen dead? Could it be the massive destruction? Could it be the torture prisons? Could it be that this Iraqi doesn't like the puppet government established by the U.S. or the privatizing of Iraqi oil? Could it be that he doesn't like the prospects for long term military bases on American soil?

Or could it be something personal, like perhaps the loss of a loved one? Maybe one of his family members died in the bombings. Maybe a wife or a child.

At any rate, the guy was definitely ungrateful for all Bush and America did for him. But you can never please some people no matter what you do to them.

  1. I'd've thrown a lot more than just a pair of shoes, but kudos to the dude for trying.
