Winter Takes its Toll.

Opportune moment,
Met with charm,
Well chosen words
Deliver their harm.

Cherished memories,
Ripped by the reaper.
A dagger well plunged,
Couldn't go deeper.

Feelings of grief,
Freshly buried for now
Unearthed so easy,
By the farmers plough.

Re-open a wound,
With knowledge found,
Caused with such ease,
Hearts to freeze.

  1. I love this one. Very tight construction, but it digs in very nicely.
