Person hiding
A real American remembers 9/11

-Headline of the day-
"Obama's Plan to Desecrate 9/11."

Remember the war on Christmas? Pffft! That's nothing. It turns out that the commie secret moolsum illegal alien terr'ist Barack HUSSEIN Obama is going to destroy the dreams of millions of American children by taking the magic out of 9/11. And that magic is spelled F-E-A-R.

The bastard!

According to Matthew Vadum, writing for the wingnut American Spectator, Obama had a teleconference with "Lennox Yearwood, president of the Hip Hop Caucus, and Liv Havstad, the group's senior vice president of strategic partnerships and programs." Together, these three hatched a nefarious plan to turn September 11 into a "celebration of ethanol, carbon emission controls, and radical community organizing."

"The plan is to turn a 'day of fear' that helps Republicans into a day of activism called the National Day of Service that helps the left," Vadum writes. "In other words, nihilistic liberals are planning to drain 9/11 of all meaning." How is a day of national service "nihilistic?" Y'got me. But it is. Obama and his radical leftist commie buddies want to suck all the fear out of 9/11 and turn it into something positive. Mostly because they hate America.

According to one source, this national day of service will be "for people to connect, to find other people in your peer group who are also passionate about repowering America but also greening up America and cleaning up America." The fiends!

This totally destroys the true meaning of 9/11, which is "Oh My Sweet Fucking God, We're All Going to DIE!!!"

Good, patriotic Americans can't let this happen. Absolutely nothing constructive must ever happen on Sept. 11 of any year. Those few real Americans left ought to gather together in a huge national rally, crap their pants, roll up into a fetal position, and then lose their minds in a mass panic. We can probably get Glenn Beck to lead it -- he's good at irrational stuff like that.

It's what 9/11 is really all about. (American Spectator)

-There's a time and a place for everything-
Talking to CNN's John King, Sen. Joe Lieberman (Connecticut for Lieberman Party-CT) said that health care reform is just some weird thing Democrats are dicking around with. We ought to wait until the recession is over to reform healthcare, because there's "no reason" to do it now.

See, that's because health insurance has absolutely nothing to do with consumer spending or jobs or families' ability to do stuff like survive. It's all about leprechauns and rainbows and shit like that. A big waste of time. Nobody cares about it.

"I’m afraid we’ve got to think about putting a lot of that off until the economy is out of recession," he said. "There’s no reason we have to do it all now." Yeah, it's not like insurance premiums rising faster than the rate of inflation could have any sort of economic consequence or anything. And people who aren't insured can just sit tight and concentrate on not getting sick -- ever. That's easy enough to do.

Then, a couple of years from now, when insurance premiums are even higher and people have more time to indulge themselves in strokes and heart attacks and kidney disease, we can do something about healthcare reform.

It's all about priorities, people. (Raw Story, with video)

-Bonus HotD-
"Steele Agrees That Boehner And GOP Leadership Are 'An Absolute Freakin’ Joke.'"

Speaking with a local Missouri radio host, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele said that the Orange One wasn't a very good minority leader. When Vincent Jericho (at least, that's what he says his name is) told Steele, "For god’s sake's the Republican Party is supposed to stand for something why don't they stand up and lead? Because some of the leadership, with Boehner and some of these other guys, they're a joke. You can't say anything. But they're an absolute freaking joke," Steele had an answer to the charge.

"I'm with you," he said. "I'm 1,000% with you. I agree with you. I absolutely agree with you." I'm guessing that the message of "you all suck!" isn't going to fly with the rest of the party leadership.

You ever notice that the only time Steele gets in trouble with the GOP establishment is when he tells the truth? (Think Progress)
